The Hills Are Alive! A brand new production of The Sound of Music is coming to Aggieland. The beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its Tony®, Grammy® and Academy Award® winning Best Score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” and the title song. The Sound of Music enjoyed extraordinary success as a live television production when “The Sound of Music Live!” aired on NBC in December, 2013 and was seen by over 44 million people. 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the film version, which continues to be the most successful movie musical in history.

Bring your blankets, chairs and picnic baskets to Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater on Friday, Nov. 9 to enjoy watching “Coco” on our 32-foot inflatable, high-definition screen. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the movie starts at sundown. Admission is free and guests may bring their own refreshments. Coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed. Pets are welcome.

Come celebrate fall at Basecamp Farms while harvesting sunflowers! We have planted 15,000 sunflowers for you to come enjoy, see, and harvest yourself! Come take a farm tour and see the rows and rows of sunflowers!
Cost is $30 per bucket. 20-30 sunflowers will fit in one bucket. We will provide buckets and clippers. Please sign up on here to reserve your spot as we are trying to limit crowds every day so you can have a great farm experience. One reservation is enough for your family or group. Cash, Card, Check, Venmo or Paypal are all accepted methods of payment. You are welcome to purchase as many buckets as you wish. One bucket minimum.

Downtown Bryan will kick off the holiday season with its annual Lights On! ceremony on Friday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at Gloria Sale Park (Main and 28th St). A special guest will flip the switch to illuminate Christmas trees which anchor the north and south ends of Downtown Bryan, along with thousands of lights along Main St. and Bryan Ave. This free, family friendly event will include the following activities:
-Pictures with Santa Claus
-Christmas music by The Salvation Army Band, Bryan ISD Music –Groups & Texas A&M Century Singers
-Homemade cookies provided by the Woman’s Club
-Holiday craft table provided by Purple Turtle Art Studio

It’s that time again! Downtown Bryan is hosting its fifth annual Wine & Wassail holiday sip & shop event on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. During this time of year, Downtown Bryan is covered in thousands of Christmas lights and the stores are decorated for Christmas! Each store will feature one wine tasting and one holiday beverage (hot chocolate, wassail, cider, or something warm!).
One Wine & Wassail ticket includes a keepsake holiday wine glass, a shopping bag, and a map of all of the participating merchants in Downtown Bryan.

Join us for the annual Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade. This two-day event will begin Friday evening at 5:30pm with the lighting of the courthouse square followed by caroling and other activities including rides on the Firetruck Invader.
Saturday will be filled with fun festivities including entertainment, story time, and more. Don’t miss the very popular lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday at 6pm. This light-filled, old-fashioned parade winds through the streets of downtown and finishes with a special appearance from Santa Claus. Downtown businesses will be open late!
The Jingle Bell Market will be open Friday & Saturday in the Ant Street Inn ballroom on Commerce Street – a large variety of vendors, indoors!

The Brazos Valley Farmers’ Market is the place to be for the freshest produce in town. All produce is grown locally, from friends and neighbors you know and trust. We also sell eggs, jellies and jams, honey, herbs, garden crafts. 21 St between Main St. and Bryan Ave, in North Downtown Bryan.
